Travel-to-Sacramento
Sacramento is the capital of California and is home to the State Capitol. Although it is a very important city, it is below Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and San José in both size and relevance, having a figure close to 500,000 inhabitants. Its current mayor is Kevin Johnson, a former NBA star and a three-time All-Star playing for the Phoenix Suns. If you are going to travel to Sacramento you should know that between October and April it always rains and that in summer the maximum you will find is 24ºC.

In Sacramento you can do things as different as visiting the Sacramento Zoo (a beautiful zoo), Fairytale Town (a great park where the children will be like in a Fairy Tale), Sacramento Marina (from the port you can take a nice ride in a boat on the river), Farmers’ Market (a place where you can buy any produce from the garden directly from the farmers) and Old Sacramento (a place where you can go shopping, see exhibitions and attend a concert).

You can also go to many museums and cultural spaces to learn about the history not only of Sacramento but of the entire state of California and the United States. The Discovery Museum Science & Space Center is very interesting, a museum dedicated to natural sciences and space and where if you let your imagination fly, it is very likely that you will see yourself stepping on the moon. Of course you can also visit the Capitol , where you will discover the past, present and future of California and where you can see how the rulers work and learn about the laws of the state first hand.

If your trip to Sacramento is going to be part of a route through some of the cities of the state, you should know that the closest are Durham (119 km), San Francisco (121 km) or San José (144 km).
