Dream beaches in the South of Spain for this summer

South Beach
If the other day, we made proposals about the beaches of the North of Spain to spend a good vacation without having to leave the country, today we are going to focus on the South because there are also magnificent towns and excellent beaches . In fact, they are well-known tourist destinations with great appeal, making them an ideal destination for these summer months. Here are the three options.

Nerja

This town is one of the best known in the South of Spain. A fame that comes to him for its beauty , but also for having been the setting in which successful films and series have been filmed such as the mythical "Blue Summer", which marked an entire generation.

And, what attractions does this municipality have? Nerja is a fishing town, although it also has a good agricultural base. It is located in Malaga , being bathed by the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea . This, together with its good temperature throughout the year and 365 days of sunshine, make it a good vacation destination in any month.

In this town you can do many activities: from resting and sunbathing and bathing in its waters to practicing water activities . Another option is to visit the Cueva de Nerja and other places such as the Cliffs of Maro-Cerro Gordo or the Natural Park of the Sierras de Tejada, Almijara and Alhama.

Conil de la Frontera

And from Malaga we go to Cádiz and, specifically, to Conil de la Frontera, which is already on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean . This fishing municipality is characterized by its crystal clear waters and many hidden coves .

All this is accompanied by a rich gastronomy . You should not leave the town without having tried the Almadraba bluefin tuna , which is one of the main culinary references, although there are many more.

Altea

And, finally, the last proposal, but not for her less beautiful, is Altea. This town has a lot of charm because it is between the sea – there are numerous small coves – and the mountains . When visiting it, its coastline made up of white houses and narrow cobbled streets draws attention. All of them are heading towards the sea. Also note the bluish domes of its main church.
