Every year millions of people decide to travel to the Canary Islands , a group of islands in the Atlantic Ocean that, as you well know, make up one of the autonomous communities of Spain. Known by many as "the sun of Europe", the archipelago surprises both for its mild temperatures throughout the year and for its own natural environment. In fact, five of its seven islands have been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.

Climate
If there is something that surprises about the Canary Islands, especially those of us who live in the peninsula, it is its climate, declared by the World Health Organization as one of the healthiest in the world. And is that the islands enjoy more than 300 days of sunshine a year and temperatures that range between 18 and 24 degrees. Therefore, the islands invite you to enjoy the outdoors.
Nature
Of course, we have to highlight nature, another of the great attractions of the archipelago. On its islands you can enjoy very different ecosystems with great biological diversity: arid deserts, humid forests, high mountain areas … It is important to note that it is home to four national parks, in addition to 145 nature reserves, which cover 40% of the entire superficial extension.
Beaches
There are many who travel to the Canaries to enjoy the beach at any time of the year. The best thing is that there are them for all tastes: black, white, reddish, natural pools, small coves …
Stars
How could it be otherwise, we also have to talk about the stars, since thanks to the fact that their skies are little polluted and their high altitude, the Canary Islands are one of the best places in the world to contemplate the universe, either from one of the the international observatories or on a night excursion. Gastronomy
Logically, we have to highlight its gastronomy, since on the islands you can enjoy different culinary jewels that are worth knowing. Special mention should be made of the wrinkled potatoes with mojo picĂłn, one of the seven gastronomic wonders of Spain. Of course, we have to highlight the typical fish of the area (the old, the grouper, the cherme …), the famous Canarian banana and its wines with designation of origin.
Endemic flora and fauna
We have already told you before that in the Canaries you can find very different ecosystems. In fact, many endemic species can be found, such as the El Hierro giant lizard, the Teide blue finch or the Gran Canaria blue finch. In addition, its waters hide great wealth.
Historical and cultural heritage
We cannot talk about the Canary Islands without mentioning its important historical and cultural heritage. Special mention should be made of the monumental complex of San CristĂłbal de la Laguna, in Tenerife, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO ; the works of CĂ©sar Manrique in Lanzarote; its popular festivals (especially the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife); and the rubber whistle.
Canaries
Finally, we want to talk about canaries, friendly, calm and very hospitable people who welcome tourists with open arms. In addition, you can enjoy a very pleasant atmosphere on all the islands.
