According to a ranking prepared by the Economist Intelligence Unit of the prestigious British weekly "The Economist", Melbourne (Australia) is the best city to live in, followed by Vienna (Austria), Vancouver (Canada), Toronto (Canada), Calgary (Canada) , Adelaide (Australia), Sydney (Australia), Helsinki (Finland), Perth (Australia) and Auckland (New Zealand).

Five categories

To prepare the ranking, in which, as you have seen, the cities of Australia and Canada stand out above all, 140 cities were evaluated taking into account five categories: stability , health, culture and environment, education and infrastructure. According to the publication, Melbourne scored perfect in the second, fourth and fifth categories.

According to the Economist Intelligence Unit of "The Economist", the worst city to live in right now is Damascus , due to troubled Syria. Other cities that occupy the lower part of the ranking are Tehran (Iran), Douala (Cameroon), Tripoli (Libya), Karachi (Pakistan), Algiers (Algeria), Harare (Zimbabwe), Lagos (Nigeria), Port Moresby (Papua) New Guinea) and Dhaka (Bangladesh).
